Changle Theatre not only serves as a performance venue for "Changan Banquet" but also provides five-star level catering service. All staff members at the venue receive professional training and understand the importance of the finest level of service.

Staff uniforms have been specially designed to incorporate Qin, Han, and Tang Dynasty elements. Even their ranks are differentiated by small details in attire, such as the shape of hats. Ushers wear wide-sleeved costumes fashioned after the Han Dynasty, while servers emulate the flying fairies from Tang Dynasty grotto paintings. This offers the audience not only a sense of history, but also the splendor of a true banquet.

Changle Theatre staff has been trained not only in hospitality services, but also in the courtly manners of ancient times, including the folding of hands and bowing to guests. Theatre staff also uses classical Chinese in greeting incoming guests, welcoming you as royalty.

But courtly manners are just the beginning. Before the banquet, two waiters dressed as eunuchs perform a ceremonial blessing, paying homage to heaven and earth as well as to revered guests — a type of ritual deeply embedded within Chinese culture epitomizing the great honor expressed by hosts to their guests.

The cuisine featured in "Changan Banquet" is specially designed by Alex Liang, one of Hong Kong's top chefs and former grand prizewinner of the FHC International Culinary Arts. The menu combines Chaozhou and Cantonese cuisine, a team of chefs preparing a sumptuous feast. Fresh organic ingredients are flown in from around the world, with each exquisite dish designed to complement themes from the performance. The menu changes seasonally, attaining a balance of elements and inviting patrons to fully savor the flavors of every course. Vegetarian and halal meals are also available on request.

During the course of the banquet, the overall atmosphere of the Changle Theatre changes as state-of-the-art projections and ambient music bring our guests into different virtual environments, from bamboo forests to luscious fields.

"Changan Banquet" is not just a culinary feast but also an exciting journey through history as interpreted through dance and visuals, with 5,000 years of culture evolving nightly before our eyes.
